This year for Archer's birthday he decided he wanted to have a robot party. What a great idea! So, of course my mind got working and I started researching ideas on the internet. Some ideas I "stole," but most I came up with on my own. It was a blast!!!
Food...
Computer chips = bags of chips
Nuts and Bolts = cheerios, stick pretzels, and M&Ms
Memory Cells = carrot sticks
Fuel Cakes = cornbread muffins
Motor Oil = drinks
***I didn't name everything I served, just a few of them...
Of course, I had to make robot cupcakes. I just love how the robot turned out for Archer's special cupcake.
I started the party by reading the book If I Had a Robot to the kids. They loved it. Then...
we headed into the garage (b/c it was supposed to rain) to make our OWN ROBOTS. I had collected boxes, toilet paper rolls, old tea lights, etc..., to turn into these fun creations. They turned out so cute.
Next, it was time for our own spin on the classic birthday game: Pin the... Antennae on the Robot.
We saved the BEST FOR LAST. We had a special visitor come to the party... Mr. Robot (aka Daddy). The kids couldn't believe it. Archer was on Cloud 9...he couldn't stop laughing. He came in and talked to the kids, let them ask him questions, gave each of them a slinky, and then took individual pictures with them.
What an unforgettable party! Happy Birthday, Arch!

OK, now I want you to plan my next birthday party! This is the most amazing party I have ever read about (OK except for Shirley McLain's 50th which I think had real aliens).
You are amazing...Tell Cooper he made a very handsome robot!
Love you,
Aunt Shan
This sure beats clown parties!!! OMG this looks like the most amazing party! Coop makes an unbelievable robot. He should have got an Oscar! We are soooooo looking forward to seeing you guys! LOVE YOU!
This brings back so many memories of theme parties for my 3 kiddos ..."Lone Ranger," "Superheros," "Wizard of Oz," to name a few. I can relate to that "gene" that puts you into overdrive coming up with all the different ways to play out the theme...however, I can't remember ever convincing Scott to dress up as Tonto, Superman, or The Scarecrow to top it off...Good Work! It looks like it was fabulous!
Kelly - This is the cutest thing I have ever seen... I love it! You're such a talented, creative and amazing Mom!
